We’ve got some exciting news to announce soon. Stay tuned!
Today’s the FINAL day to enter your submissions to name our band. Please follow us on twitter to find out more about the voting process. We will be announcing the winner in just over a week.
Stay tuned for an update on the fabulous prize for submitting the winning band name.

Kyle Cartland is our trio’s guitarist, and vocalist. In 3 words, he describes himself as “super fucking awesome” and most would agree with that assessment.
When he’s not writing new music, you can find him recording other people’s kick-ass music, watching other band’s play kick ass music, and/or sexting.
And, what would he be listening to if he could only ever listen to 10 albums for the rest of his life?
Kyle’s had a few embarrassing moments on stage (he’s forgotten the words to every cover he’s covered) but the crowd almost always came through to help him out. Support this band, and help give us a name (plus you know you want to see if Kyle will forget the words to the next cover song).

Al is our bassist, and all around cool dude. He likes gardening, frisbee, beer, listening to music of course, pottery, and ghouls. He’s a huge Boston sports fan. “I bleed black and gold,” he admits.
His top 10 desert island records (in no particular order of preference)?
He’s a big supporter of local music, his two favorite local bands being Deer Leap, out of Windham, NH, and The World Is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid to Die, out of Willimantic, CT.
Our new song, “Filthy Scoundrel” is going to be played over the UNregular Radio airwaves today, on the Boston Local Music Show. Tune in between 12-4 and listen in.
Don’t forget, we’re taking submissions for our new band name from now until April 12th. The person who submits the winning band name will get $50, and a free EP. Enter here.

Filthy Scoundrel - Name Our Band
Last Tuesday night a little before 10 pm, we headed into Kyle’s studio (Genuine Sound Productions), and recorded the first song going on our demo. Below you can check out a clip from my live stream on qik.com. Follow me on twitter, to check in on other live streams while the band is practicing and recording.
Also, my name is LA, and I’m going to be doing most of the communicating here. We gotta keep the guys focused on their music, so start sending in those band names!! Remember the winner gets a $50 gift card and a copy of their first EP. “Like” us on facebook, and follow us on Twitter to stay up to date!
The Name Our Band Contest
Coming up with a kick ass band name is a tricky thing; it’s one part art, one part sheer genius, and one part pure dumb luck. And since most local musicians have been in several bands before, naming a new music project becomes even more arduous. A newly re-formed Boston-based band is looking to the people to help name their band.
Kyle Cartland, Jacob Fuller, and Alex Prodanas all have deep ties to Boston’s rich local indie music scene. The three have played together off and on for almost 10 years. Cartland and Fuller formed half of the almost (locally) famous, Little Motel, which had an untimely demise due to artistic differences. With visions of dirty nightclub shows, and bare-bones budget tours dancing in their heads, Cartland and Fuller began laying down some gritty, and raw tracks; strictly drums, guitar, and vocals. And it sounded sick. However, they knew it needed something more. Prodanas, a long time friend, and Fuller’s former bandmate, in the NH based, Best Man, rounded out the group with some killer bass lines, and the band was born.
With the guys being so focused on writing new tunes, they’ve decided to use the power of the power of the people to help name their new band. From now until April 12th, fans can submit potential band names online, via twitter, facebook, and tumblr. The band will choose their top 10 names, and then we’ll take it back to the public to vote on the final name. The lucky person who submits the winning band name will get a $50 in the form of a gift card, a free signed copy of their first EP on CD, and of course, eternal glory.
